The Bird Watching and Natural History Group arranges a monthly visit to reserves and other locations which provide good opportunities to see a wide range of birds and other wildlife. Members take turns to arrange visits but contact co-ordination is provided by Felicity Jones. Details of planned visits are usually sent to members by email, or members are contacted by telephone, and an announcement is also made at the F3A monthly meeting.

Meetings are usually on the fourth Friday each month, but the day sometimes varies to fit in with opportunities for visits to be guided.

In January we met to discuss the programme for the calendar year ahead, which gives members an opportunity to suggest visits which they can arrange, as this shares the organisation for the visits.

Planned visits for the remainder of 2018 are:

On 28th September to Portland Bill and the Observatory

On 26th October to Keyhaven

On 23rd November The Avocet Cruise from Topsham with RSPB

December date to be confirmed - Lunch at 'The Ring o' Bells (Ashcott)' followed by a visit to Ham Wall/Shapwith Heath for the Starling roost

Further details for each visit to follow by email

New members are always welcome to join the group, so if you think you might like to join, or have any other questions, please contact Felicity on Frome 465649 or mobile 07453 990030 or email felicityjones44@gmail.com]
