The Group Co-ordinator was Veronica Parker. Numbers had been dwindling before the pandemic took hold and the group was put in abeyance, but Veronica will happily resume meetings if there is sufficient interest.

The idea behind the group is that it is for anyone interested in finding out, through discussion, more about a range of topics; any area currently in the public domain, media etc. It will provide the opportunity to 'think outside the box', spending time together in conversation, discussing/debating aspects of the world.

Topics could include: politics, the economic climate, philosophy, human rights, sociology, advocacy/tolerance, local community issues, newspapers, radio/TV plays... The list is endless and will consist of members' contributions, encouraging critical free thinking. Topics do not always have to be serious. We hope to have fun together.

Meetings were on the FOURTH WEDNESDAY of the month at 2.00pm.

No previous debating experience is required, so if this appeals to you, please contact Veronica, on Frome(01373) 834545.
